You will be automatically redirected to the doctor on-call service. Emergency cover is provided by THAMESDOC, a local on-call service. A doctor is always available and patients may be offered telephone advice, a consultation or a home visit, if appropriate. This service should only be used for genuine emergencies that cannot wait until next day surgery.

NHS Direct (see link on left) is a good alternative 24-hour service, where confidential advice can be sought from a trained nurse.

For serious emergencies that clearly need the greater resources provided by a hospital A&E department dial 999.
