Julian trained at the University of Southampton medical school and qualified in 2003. He undertook junior doctor training in Southampton and Winchester and then GP training in Salisbury and at The Fordingbridge Surgery in Fordingbridge, West Hampshire.

He has an interest in medical politics having been a past Chairman of the Wessex Regional Junior Doctors Committee and currently serving as a member of the Southern Regional Council.

Julian joined as Partner in July 2008.
